Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara is a city on the central California coast. With the Santa Ynez Mountains as dramatic backdrop, downtown Santa Barbara has Mediterranean-style white stucco buildings with red-tile roofs, which reflect the city’s Spanish colonial heritage. On a nearby hill, Mission Santa Barbara, founded in 1786, houses Franciscan friars and a small museum. Santa Barbara's climate is often described as Mediterranean, and the city has been promoted as the "American Riviera".
